Episcopalians vote against gay bias
CINCINNATI (AP) ·· The 30,000-member Episcopalian Diocese of Southern Ohio voted yesterday against sexism within the church and against homosexual prejudice.
Delegates passed a resolution backing the “human and civil rights" of homosexuals.
Resolutions approved the elevation of women to priesthood and called for the editing of hymns and prayers to eliminate unwarranted, exclusively male figures of speech.
